Aimee grew up in a military family.  Her father was a former Marine, her grandfathers both served, one Army, one Navy and her brother currently is in the Air Force.  She grew up with a strong sense of patriotism, love of country and respect for those who serve.  So when she was searching for a charitable organization to support, finding Homes for Heroes was immediately the winner.

Learning more about the program, which includes Military, Police, Firemen, EMS, Nurses and Teachers, sealed the deal.  Aimee’s grandfather was a city cop in Baltimore, MD.  She has a second cousin who was a Sheriff in Texas and an uncle who was an officer, a sheriff and a bounty hunter in Florida.  And a cousin-in-law who is currently patrolling neighborhoods in Ohio.

And her husband’s family is all in the teaching profession.  Her husband is a guidance counselor, but his two brothers are English teachers and a sister-in-law teaches 5th grade.  So Aimee sympathizes with you all.  Overbearing parents should automatically come with added money.

Aimee loves the idea that she’s helping local heroes while directly giving back.  Charity is always wonderful but seeing the beneficiaries and knowing who is receiving the rewards, makes it extra rewarding.  Every member of this group is on the front line every day, whether protecting, rescuing and saving lives, or shaping the lives of future heroes, they all deserve a little something extra.

And with every reward given, a little extra goes towards national hero efforts. Whether assistance is sent for frontline families who are battling wildfires, helping with hurricane relief, or donating to fallen heroes, the extra monies are all being put to good use.  It’s not a charity that’s making a CEO wealthy.

Aimee lives in Collier Township currently with her husband Ben, their three kids, Delaney – 14, Donovan 12, Tenley -10, and their dog Bourbon.  They are all things sports.  Baseball, softball, basketball, and now football keep them on their toes.  If you’re looking for Aimee, she’s either working or at one of her kids’ games.  In the little spare time she has, she loves to decorate and restyle furniture.  She is a home improvement junkie, which is great for offering home staging/remodeling tips for listing homes for sale.  If she’s caught staring at her phone, there’s a good chance she’s pinning ideas for herself or someone else.

She has big dreams and this website will hopefully become a hub for all things hero.  She would love to add businesses and services under the ‘Hero affiliates’ tab so heroes can use the site to find additional discounts and referrals.
